The National Women’s Month Celebration (NWMC) in 2022 aims to celebrate the achievements of women and girls, examine gender equality efforts, and look ahead to the steps that must be taken to ensure development in women’s empowerment.
The first two (2) activities aligned with the National Women’s Month Celebration (NWMC) for 2022 were the hanging up of the official tarpaulin and streamer and wearing of purple clothes.
Every year on March 1st, the celebration of Women’s Month officially begins. Everyone is encouraged to wear purple throughout the celebration. Purple has been associated with efforts to create gender equality, and it is now commonly identified with modern feminism. It evokes feelings of hope and vision, and it represents both past and future achievements.
