From being the United Cities and Local Government (UCLG World) Treasurer, Hon. Madelaine Alfelor is now a World Governing President together with the Mayor of Xian City, China.
United Cities and Local Governments is an “umbrella international organisation for cities, local and regional governments, and municipal associations throughout the world that is concerned with representing and defending the interests of local governments on the world stage”.
Moreover, Hon. Madelaine Alfelor was the first and only Filipino to serve as the organization’s Treasurer and President.
